How do I add a Feedio email subscribe widget to my Blogger blog?

Adding a Feedio email subscribe widget to your Blogger blog takes less than 5 minutes and is one of our recommended practices. To add a Feedio email subscribe widget to your Blogger blog simply follow the step-by-step process listed below.

If at any stage in the process you get stuck then please contact us at support@feedio.co. If you would like us to walk you through this process in real time then please mention this in your email and we'll be happy to connect over the phone or on Skype.

Step 1: Log into your Blogger account.

Step 2: Click on the drop down menu next to your blog and click on Layout (screenshot below).

Step 3: In your side menu click on "Add a Gadget" (screenshot below). If you'd prefer to add the email widget to another section of your blog then simply click on "Add a Gadget" in the relevant section.

Step 4: Scroll down the list of Gadget types until you find "HTML/JavaScript" and click on it. A new screen should load in the window with two sections, one called "Title" and another called "Content".

Step 5: Either write in a name for the widget or leave it blank. Some possible options for the title:
  • "Get all my posts straight to your inbox"
  • "Subscribe below to never miss a post"
  • "Subscribe via email"
  • "Subscribe below to be the first to receive my posts"
Step 6: Click here to open a new tab and log into Feedio.

Step 7: You should now be on the Widgets page within Feedio. If you are not then log into Feedio and click on "Widgets" in the menu on the left navigation menu.

Step 8: Click on the copy button under the box of code (screen shot below).

Step 9: Revisit the HTML/JavaScript window which you opened earlier and paste the code into the "Content" section (screenshot shown below).

Step 10: Click "Save".

Step 11: Click on "Save arrangement" on the "Layout" page.

Step 12: Visit your blog and view your new widget.

Step 13: Feel free to test the widget yourself. You can always delete the test subscribers via the Subscribe page in your Feedio admin.

That's it, your done. If you want to fancy up the widget so it better suits the look and feel of your site then you will need to edit the html and styling of the widget. If you need some help with this then send us an email and we'll be happy to help.
